Jeffrey C. Greene - Jeff, President and CEO of MedEncentive,
began his healthcare career with a vision of providing medical billing and practice
management services focused on enhancing physicians' revenue by using state-of-the-art
technology and innovative processes. The result was CompONE Services, Ltd. which
Jeff led since its beginning in 1987 until he stepped aside as CEO and President
to start MedEncentive in 2004. CompONE is famous for being one of the most technologically
advanced services of its kind in the country and a leader in providing practice
management, patient financial services, and technology services. Jeff remains as
an owner and Director of CompONE.
Jeff is a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the American College of Medical
Practice Executives. He was a guest instructor for eighteen years at the University
of Oklahoma's College of Medicine where he taught practice management to third year
residents. Jeff co-authored the text "Practice Management for Family Physician Residents"
published by the American Academy of Family Physicians. He serves on the Advisory
Committee for the School of Industrial Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.
As the inventor of the MedEncentive Program, Jeff was able to drawn on his two decades
of helping physicians enhance their incomes. These skills were tempered by the realities
of providing health benefits to CompONE's employees as a self-insured business.
He also gained knowledge as the co-founder of Physician Direct, an Oklahoma-based
PPO consisting of approximately 4,600 credentialed physicians and 120 hospitals.
(Physician Direct currently uses the MedEncentive Program.) These experiences as
a physician fiscal-advocate, healthcare purchaser, and consumer combined to form
the win-win philosophy which is a fundamental principle of MedEncentive.
Jeff attended the University of Oklahoma on an athletic scholarship where he set
high hurdle records and received a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
Jeff served as a reserve officer in the U.S. Corp of Engineers for 14 years. Jeff
is married to Debby. They have two children and live in Norman, Oklahoma.
James L. Dempster - Since 1999, Jim has served as Executive Director
of Physician Direct MedEncentive of Oklahoma and now MedEncentive, LLC, a technology
company serving the health care industry. With more than 14 years of experience
in the healthcare industry, Jim has served in various healthcare positions including
Regional Vice President of CCN and Director of PPO Operations for CommunityCare
Managed Health Plans in Oklahoma. Jim has been instrumental in the development of
a next generation PPO model that combines evidence-based medicine and pay-for-performance
concepts with Internet technology. Jim directs the day-to-day operations of Physician
Direct MedEncentive and MedEncentive, LLC which is designed to empower other PPO's
across the U.S. through licensing of MedEncentive's innovative model. In addition,
Jim directs Physician Credentials Verification Services (PCVS), a primary source
verification service, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jim received a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from Kansas
State University and attended master of business administration classes at the University
of Central Oklahoma.
Active in the managed care industry, Jim is a licensed insurance broker and a member
of the Board of Directors for the State Health Underwriters Association of Oklahoma
and Board member of the Council of Medical Services for the Oklahoma State Medical
Association.
Jim and his wife Diane live in Edmond Oklahoma. They have three children.
Susan L. Chambers, M.D. - Dr. Chambers is co-founder and officer
of Oklahoma City Gynecology and Obstetrics, L.L.C. Oklahoma City Gynecology and
Obstetrics, LLC co-owns Lakeside Women's Hospital, a specialty hospital in Oklahoma
City. Dr. Chambers is also President of Central Oklahoma Physicians Alliance (COPA),
co-medical director of Physician Direct, LLC, and MedEncentive, LLC Advisor and
Board Member.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University and a graduate of University of Oklahoma
's College of Medicine, Dr. Chambers completed residency training at University
of Oklahoma 's College of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident.
Dr. Chambers is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1986
and recertified four times, most recently in 2001. Dr. Chambers is a member of American
Medical Women's Association, Oklahoma County Medical Society, Oklahoma State Medical
Society, and American Medical Association. Dr Chambers has been or is currently
Chairwoman of Baptist Medical Center's Perinatal Committee, Western OK Chapter March
of Dimes, and March of Dimes Walk America . She also serves on the Advisory Board,
Oklahoma Chapter Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Board of Directors, Oklahoma
Chapter American Red Cross.
Dr. Chambers has a special interest in caring for people in underdeveloped countries.
She is past Chairwoman and current member of the Board of Trustees, World Neighbors.
Dr. Chambers active participation in World Neighbors has taken her around the world
several times caring for the sick and injured.
For her numerous accomplishments, charitable activities, and business successes;
Dr. Chambers was selected Oklahoma's Woman of the Year in 2003.
Susan is embarrassed when her friends mentioned that she was homecoming queen at
SMU . Susan is married to Dr. Kyle Toal, a thoracic surgeon. They have four children
and live in Oklahoma City.
David W. Parke II, M.D. - Dr. Parke is President and Chief Executive
Officer of the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute. The McGee Eye Institute is one of the
nation's largest facilities devoted solely to research, clinical care, and education
in ophthalmology and vision science. It has over 200 faculty and staff, five locations,
and ranks in the top twenty institutions nationally in terms of National Eye Institute
research grant support. Dr. Parke is Edward L. Gaylord Professor and Chair of the
Department of Ophthalmology in the University of Oklahoma 's College of Medicine.
He is also Vice President of Central Oklahoma Physician Alliance (COPA), co-medical
director of Physician Direct, LLC, and MedEncentive, LLC Advisor and Board Member.
A graduate of Stanford University and an honors graduate of Baylor College of Medicine,
Dr. Parke completed residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, serving as
Chief Resident. He then completed two years of fellowship training in diseases and
surgery of the retina and vitreous. His professional activities have focused on
that subspecialty and on medical education and biomedical organizational leadership
and development.
Dr. Parke is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and received its
Honor Award in 1989 and its Senior Achievement Award in 1998. He has maintained
a particular interest and expertise in medical education, serving as Chairman of
the Academy's Resident and Fellow Education Committee, Ophthalmologists-in-Training
Committee, and Interprofessional Education Committee. In 2001 Dr. Parke was elected
Senior Secretary for Ophthalmic Practice and has served on the Academy Board of
Trustees since 2000.
Dr. Parke's other active medical leadership positions include Past President of
the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology. He is a Board Director
of the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also on the Board of Directors of
the Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company (OMIC) and of Medem, Inc.
Dr. Parke serves on the Editorial Board of two ophthalmic journals, including as
Executive Editor of the American Journal of Ophthalmology and has received
numerous biomedical research grants. He has served as an Associate Examiner for
the American Board of Ophthalmology for over ten years, currently as a Mentor Examiner
and is an active member of the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Parke
lectures widely on topics in retina, professional development, and medical organizational
leadership and management. He is recognized in Who's Who in America and
Best Doctors in America.
David is married to Dr. Julie Parke, a pediatric neurologist. David and Julie have
three children and live in Oklahoma City.
